What to Look for in a Golf Instruction Book

Posted by Rob Jeffries

What do you do when you start to develop a slice? What happens when your putts no longer go in or you just can’t get out of the sand anymore? Some people give up, some people swear and throw their clubs in the nearest body of water, but the smart ones start to look for help. There are many places to look – a golf pro, videos, golf instruction books, or even your own video camera.

When your game has let you down, the quicker you move, the sooner you will be back to yourself. Most players leave it too late. First, their irons get shaky, then their putts get shady, and then their driver becomes their No. 1 enemy. It is better to start looking for help before you no longer have a part of your game you can rely on. In golf, once your confidence is blown, you might as well just pack it in.

Do Lessons in Golf Really Help?

Posted by Rob Jeffries

Let’s face it – lessons in golf are expensive. From the very first lesson you took, maybe as a child, you paid out an exorbitant amount of money for a few minutes of a professionals time. But, did you and do you really need a professionals expertise? Are you that good that you need a pro’s undivided attention to fix that little hitch in your swing?

Unless you are in a highly competitive stage of your golf career, you probably don’t need professional lessons in golf. In fact, for the average golfer, these lessons are often more destructive than they are helpful. After all, we all have our own type of swing and a pro only wants to mold that into the perfect swing. But, a perfect swing is not actually possibly for many of us – so we just go with what we can do and hope for the best.

What to Look for in a Golf Swing Lesson

Posted by Rob Jeffries

Most golfers, when looking to improve their game, will pay out some money for a golf swing lesson from a pro. If the golfer already knows what is wrong – perhaps he sways or doesn’t turn enough – a pro may be able to suggest some tricks or swing thoughts that can help.

But, if the golfer doesn’t know what is wrong, or even thinks everything is just fine and only wants to add distance, then they can be terribly disappointed by what the pro tells them. They may think that their reasonably effective swing is completely wrong.  A remarkable thing can happen when a golfer goes for a golf swing lesson. They may lose all confidence completely. They may forget how to swing and begin to ignore their natural instincts and athletic ability. They may give up on golf altogether.

Can Online Golf Lessons Really Help Your Game?

Posted by Rob Jeffries

There was a time when if you wanted golf lessons, you had one choice: go to the pro at your local course. For some people, this was a great option. They paid their money and got an hour with someone who told them what their problem was and a way to fix it. For others, though, this option was disastrous.

Golf lessons are not always successful, and often they can destroy a person’s confidence altogether. Until recently, online golf lessons did not exist, so the only choice a golfer really had was the golf pro. But, now you can take lessons when you want, how you want, and at a much more affordable price.

Golf Swing Lessons That Really Add Distance

Posted by Rob Jeffries

For many golfers, desperation hits when their driver fails them. Their short game may be awful, their putts unreliable, but when their driver goes south, it is only then they consider golf swing lessons. The truth is that by this time, it is usually too late. Because golf is such a mental game, the deterioration of one’s game probably started long ago and is now only showing up in the driver.

Golf swing lessons are not easy for some people to take, and that is one reason why online tutoring or instruction is a great idea. Here are a few lessons you can learn, just by doing your research online.
