3540317133_ba9e6e0400If you play golf regularly there are some exercises that you should do on a regular basis to keep your body limbered up and prepared to play without stress or injury.  You should do these golf stretches just like you would do regular exercise. In otherwords do them regularly.  You will definitely want to do them before and maybe even after a golf game.

First of all walk for a bit or do some aerobic type exercise like jogging for about 10 to 15 minutes.  Next in order to stretch your neck, turn your head all the way to the left and hold it for 15 seconds.  Then turn it to the right and hold for 15 seconds.  Stretch so that your chin is on your chest and hold for 15 seconds.  Look straight and bend your head towards your left shoulder and hold to 15 seconds.  Repeat this on the right side.

3543387017_f7bee2182bIf you don’t have the time to go to a practice range or a driving range to get in some golf swing practice time, practice at home.  There are many swing practice devices that you can get along with practice balls and if you can find an hour several times a week to practice, you will definitely improve your game.

When you go out to practice get yourself in the same mindset you would be in if your were going to the golf range.  Put on your golf clothes and golf shoes.  Take your golf bag with all your clubs and take your practice seriously.

Mastering Your Golf Technique

The next point to remember is that you do not have to use the driver to tee off.  The driver will likely send the ball the farthest but it is the least accurate of any of your clubs.  If you have a favorite club that usually works better than the others use it.  You don’t have to use a specific club at a specific time.  After a little practice you will find the one you like best.
