If you are going to start golfing there may be many things that you do not know about the sport. People think that golfing is simple and easy, but there is a lot that goes into your swing that you might not be aware of. Here are a few simple golf swing instructions that can make you more confident on the links.

The first thing you should know is that you should keep your eye on the ball. Keep your head down through you swing. Many people lift their head to watch the ball after their swing. This can lead to a poor swing. The follow through is also very important. Make sure you finish your swing before you look up. If you are golfing with other people ask that they watch your ball for you. This is a common courtesy on a golf course.

You should also familiarize yourself with all of your clubs. Every club is built differently and will give your ball a different flight path and length. Before you go out on the course it is a good idea to hit the driving range. Make sure that you use all of your clubs so that you can get a feel for all of them.

Beginner’s golf swing instructions will also emphasize consistent motion and tempo in your swing. You can work on this without a ball. Just take some practice swings and make sure that you keep the same speed and motion throughout your entire swing. When you use a ball, don’t let that you through you off. The key to proper tempo is concentration.

These are some simple golf swing instructions. If you want to improve your swing you should make sure to keep your head down and follow through your swing. It is also important to familiarize yourself with your clubs, and control your tempo.

Where to Find Golf Swing Instructions

Posted by Rob Jeffries

Golf is a complicated game. To the spectator, it looks like you hit a ball with a stick and try to get the ball into a hole, but it is so much more than that. You need to understand weather conditions and wind, you need to be able to read how grass is planted and which way the grain goes, you need to know how to hit out of sand, out of mud, off a concrete path, and sometimes left-handed. You also need to know how to keep your cool when you are completely frustrated, and you have to understand that every game you play will not be the same.

Newcomers to the game often start with some kind of golf swing instructions to get them on their way, and although this is a great idea, they rarely understand that this is just the tip of the iceberg. There is so much more to learn that is never implicitly taught.

If you have been playing for awhile, you have probably already had your share of golf swing instructions, whether you got it from a pro at the course, by watching the Golf Channel, or just by listening to your buddies during your rounds. These are all great ways to learn more about the game of golf, and of course, nothing beats actually seeing your own swing. More people are able to make a change in their game just by watching a video of themselves swinging a club – it can be frightening!

In reality, the best place to find golf swing instructions right now is online. There are any number of E-books and websites that specialize in various parts of the swing, and different types of players. From the beginner to the most experienced player, there are online lessons that can really help your game.

The Basics of Golf Stretching

Posted by Rob Jeffries

3152920607_0a43dc6c15As you are preparing for a golf game it is important to stretch the muscles that you will be using to play the game with.  First jog or walk for 10 to 15 minutes to get started.  Then you should make sure your neck and shoulder muscles are warmed up.  You can do this by turning your head to the left side and holding it for a few seconds.  Then move it to the right and hold.  Move you head down so that your chin is almost on your chest.  Now roll your head a full turn to the left and a full turn to the right.

Next stretch your left arm over your right shoulder like you are trying to scratch the middle of your back.  Then repeat this with your right are over your left shoulder.  Now fold your fingers from both hands together behind you.  Stretch your arms out as far as you can.  This will help to stretch your shoulders and loosen your arms.

Improve Your Game With Golf Swing Instructions

Posted by Rob Jeffries

558923573_7355afbee3Do you wish you could advance to a higher level of skill on the golf course.  When you get together with friends on the course it would be nice to be able to gradually improve your score.  Golf swing instructions might be the answer.  So many people just don’t seem to be able to develop a good swing.  You can hire a professional and get golf swing instructions.  You will have someone watching who can critique your swing and give you pointers on how to improve.

Everybody wants to have the perfect golf swing.  It is one of the most difficult parts of the game.  Many people never get good.  To begin with, if you get professional golf swing instructions, you will learn to begin your swing from a static position.  This is difficult for some people.  Sort of rock back and forth to get off to a good start.  Be sure that when you start your backswing you sweep your club head low to the ground.  A low deep backswing will allow you to focus more easily. Many beginners are quick and jerk the club back and then are not able to prepare mentally for the follow through.

The Best Backswing Golf Moves

Posted by Rob Jeffries

3631172465_c000401373A good backswing golf move is one that gives power and control to the golfer.  When you start your backswing, the club should sweep low to the ground and then up. Be sure not to lose your balance. Don’t just quickly jerk the club up in the air.  Slow and smooth is the best characteristic of a good backswing.  You will shift your weight onto your back leg and feel like a coil.  The downswing is just your body naturally unwinding and the head of your club swinging through the ball.  During the backswing keep your back leg bent.  Do not stand straight.

Obviously, the best backswing golf move is one that gets the ball to the intended target.  It must have accuracy as well as velocity.  Each time you swing the club you should try to repeat the same swing over and over.  This helps you develop a routine to your swing.  As you develop over time this will help you maintain consistency.
