If you are going to start golfing there may be many things that you do not know about the sport. People think that golfing is simple and easy, but there is a lot that goes into your swing that you might not be aware of. Here are a few simple golf swing instructions that can make you more confident on the links.

The first thing you should know is that you should keep your eye on the ball. Keep your head down through you swing. Many people lift their head to watch the ball after their swing. This can lead to a poor swing. The follow through is also very important. Make sure you finish your swing before you look up. If you are golfing with other people ask that they watch your ball for you. This is a common courtesy on a golf course.

You should also familiarize yourself with all of your clubs. Every club is built differently and will give your ball a different flight path and length. Before you go out on the course it is a good idea to hit the driving range. Make sure that you use all of your clubs so that you can get a feel for all of them.

Beginner’s golf swing instructions will also emphasize consistent motion and tempo in your swing. You can work on this without a ball. Just take some practice swings and make sure that you keep the same speed and motion throughout your entire swing. When you use a ball, don’t let that you through you off. The key to proper tempo is concentration.

These are some simple golf swing instructions. If you want to improve your swing you should make sure to keep your head down and follow through your swing. It is also important to familiarize yourself with your clubs, and control your tempo.

Warming Up With Golf Swing Drills

Posted by Rob Jeffries

Warming Up with Golf Swing Drills

Golf is an activity that requires consistency. In order to get a constant swing in your golf game you need to do golf swing drills. Here are a couple of golf swing drills that you can help you put distance on your ball, and help you to be more accurate.

The first activity is not really a drill but it is essential to a good swing; you need to stretch. Many people forget about this because they do not think that golf is a physical activity. But it is very strenuous and will use muscles that you are not accustomed to using. Make sure to stretch out your arms, your back, your shoulders and your legs.

Once you have stretched out you can start doing your golf swing drills. The first one is very easy. Take out one of your irons and grip the handle the way you would to swing. Let your arms hang loosely and swing the club back and forth. Work on shifting your weight back and forth between your legs. This will loosen your arms, your back, your neck and your legs.

When you start taking practice swings, aim for the top of the tee. If you are at a driving range they will typically have a rubber tee. Try to make contact with the tee. You should also try to keep your swing at a consistent speed. Consistency is a very important aspect of golf. When you start to hit your golf balls, make sure they travel the same distance. This of course will vary with each club.

Advance slowly through your clubs. Take many swings with all of your clubs. It is important that you can familiarize yourself with the feel of all your clubs. The more you practice the more confident you will be on the course.

Posted by Rob Jeffries

Golf Swing Aids – Improving Your Swing

It can take people a lifetime to perfect their golf swing. It is an intricate and complicated process that only a few people have truly mastered. If you are like most golfers, you might often get a kink in your swing. This can mean that you start slicing, topping, fading, or some other problem that may develop in your swing. Golf swing aids can help you to correct and improve some of these problems with your swing.

There are many different golf swing aids available that you can choose from. These technologies are consistently changing and improving so you need to stay up to date with all of the different golf swing aids available. Here are a couple of different products that can help you improve your game.

A very popular item is the weighted club. This product works much like a donut for a baseball bat. Baseball players use these weights to build the muscles they use when they swing. It also makes the bat feel lighter, and makes it easier to swing. The weighted golf clubs works the same way. Taking practice swings with a weighted club will build your muscles and make it easier to swing your normal club. This can give you more control, and more distance.

There is also a product that measures the speed of your club. This is very important to a well tuned swing. The goal is not to achieve the fastest speed possible; instead you want to use the speedometer to make sure that your club moves at a constant speed during every swing. A good tempo is imperative to a solidly hit ball.

There are also many videos available that can guide you through the many different strokes that exist in golf and there are golf swing aids that can help improve your game.

Why Is My Golf Swing Speed Important?

Posted by Rob Jeffries

Because golf is in many ways a man’s sport, there is a certain macho aspect to it. Men appreciate other men who hit the ball long and hard and straight and don’t really pay much attention to the players who use finesse and guile to get the ball in the hole. They think better of a player who drives 300 yards than they do someone who shoots 70. That’s just the way it is.

If you want to be one of the guys who drives it 300 yards, then you have to increase your golf swing speed – there is just no way about it. But, that doesn’t mean that you have to go in hyper-mode throughout your entire swing. If you watch any of the pro golfers, their backswing is not fast, it is slow and deliberate, but they accelerate through the swing at such a speed that you can hear the club whip through the air. When you watch their swing in slow motion, you can actually see their club arcing, as the force bends the shaft.

Your golf swing speed in part determines the flight of your ball. However, that doesn’t mean that the guy with the fastest swing will hit it the furthest! There is much more to it than that. You have to be able to make perfect contact with the ball, hitting it on the sweet spot and making contact with just the right part of the club. Any variation and you will not be successful.

Golf swing speed can be measured in most of the larger sporting goods stores. They will be able to measure your swing speed at the fastest point, which should be just when you make contact. From that information, you should be able to determine the type of shafts and balls you should play.
