The Importance of Golf Fitness Training

The Importance of Golf Fitness Training

Many people forget that golf is a physical sport that requires training and conditioning. If you go out golfing to be social and have a good time, you probably will not improve your golf game. You might be good enough, but you will not get better. You have to work on your conditioning to become a better golfer. Here are some golf fitness training techniques.

Golf requires a lot of walking. If you are playing in a serious tournament, then you will not be able to use a cart. You will have to walk the round and keep pace with the rest of the golfers. Also, many people carry their own bag. These bags can be very heavy. If you want to work on your golf fitness training you must do a few things.

The easiest way to work on your fitness training is to go out and golf and be sure you walk, don’t ride. If you are preparing for a nine whole tournament, go out and play eighteen holes. The more you golf and build your stamina the less likely you are to get fatigued when you are playing.

Another good way to train is to use a weighted club. These clubs will help build of muscles that go into a proper golf swing. Properly swinging a weighted club will build your muscles and reinforce your confidence so that you are more comfortable with your swing.

Many people do not have a fitness and conditioning routine that will enhance their golf game. When you are not in proper condition you may get fatigued after the front nine. This can lead to lazy strokes which can cause inaccuracy, and shorter shots. If you want to drop strokes from your score you should first look to conditioning. Many people buy aids, or take lessons, but the problem might be as simple as your fitness level.

Do Online Golf Lessons Really Work?

Posted by Rob Jeffries

Do Online Golf Lessons Really Work?

In the past ten years, all of us have started doing a lot more online. We bank online, we take classes online, and we do a lot of our holiday shopping online. We have started to trust the Internet, e-commerce, and most of the information that we receive online. The good news is that you can also take online golf lessons, which will not only save you a ton of money, but will make learning golf a lot easier.

If you have never heard of taking lessons online, then you won’t believe the advances that have been made the past couple of years. You can now get virtually the same golf lessons on the Internet that you can on any golf course, given by a real pro golfer.

Online golf lessons take several different forms. Some of them are videos, showing instruction from professional golfers. They are usually very specific in what they are teaching. For example, they wouldn’t give a lesson on “the swing”, but rather on the back swing, or getting the slice out of your driver, or how to hit out of the rough. By creating lessons that are specific like this, you will have much more success in learning what you need to learn.

Some online golf lessons are interactive. The instructors will allow you to email or post online a video of your swing and they can evaluate what you are doing. They may see a little something that can easily be fixed, or they may suggest particular drills that would work for you.

Whichever type of lessons you take, they will be worth it, and they will also save you quite a bit of money over the cost of lessons by your local golf pro – not to mention that you can take the lessons right at home!

Using Golf Swing Training Aids to Better Your Game

If you play golf on a regular basis, then for your own sanity, you owe it to yourself to spend a little time and money on becoming a better and more reliable player. Playing golf when you are “all over the place” with your drives and your irons can be exhausting for you and tiresome for your foursome, and you don’t have to be like that. By using golf swing training aids, you can make a big difference in your game very quickly, and often at little or no cost to you (other than time!).

If you go into any golf store, or large sporting goods store, you will any number of golf swing training aids, all of which promise to completely turn your game around in a matter of hours. Their claims, as you probably already know, are usually false. The makers of aids such as this are using your own insecurities to sell you the products.

There are some aids on the market today that will help you groove a better swing, but it certainly won’t happen overnight. You will have to work for weeks, months, or even years, to make a difference in your swing. This is because you need to commit whatever changes you are making to your muscle memory and your muscles need time to acclimatize themselves to the changes that you are making.

There are some golf swing training aids that aren’t physical products that you buy in the store – but rather informational products that can explain the changes you need to make. Whether you are watching videos on the internet, or reading e-books, you may find enough information there to make a positive change in your game. And, you can do this without visiting the local golf pro and paying a fortune for a fruitless lesson.

Will a Golf Swing Training Aid Help My Game?

Posted by Rob Jeffries

Will a Golf Swing Training Aid Help My Game?

There comes a time in every golfer’s life when they give up the game because they just can’t stand playing poorly any more. For most golfers, this happens at least once every round! The unreliability of their game, the unpredictability of the course, and the randomness of it all is enough to make even the most accomplished golfer throw his or her clubs in the nearest water hazard.

When this happens to you, you have a choice to make. Do you want to get better and more reliable, or do you want to give in and give up? Most of us, because of our love for golf, realize that it is better to spend a little money and a lot of time to find ways to get better. One way that many people choose is by using a golf swing training aid to help them find their swing again.

You can purchase many training aids that are meant solely to help you drive longer, but remember that the drive is only a part of your game. In fact, during any average round, you may only use that driver a dozen times (or less). You will, however, have an iron and a putter in your hand at least once every hole, and most holes more often. So, when you are choosing a golf swing training aid, keep that in mind.

Not all training aids are actual, physical items that you can buy in a store. Some of the best golf swing training aids, in fact, are ones that you read about or see in action. You can buy videos and ebooks online that will save you a lot of money and still allow you to improve your game. And, you can do it in the comfort of your home without embarrassing yourself out on the range.

How Does Golf Swing Tempo Affect My Game?

Posted by Rob Jeffries

There are just so many parts of the game of golf that it is impossible to list them all. In fact, just in the swing alone, there are many different aspects that must be dealt with every time you play. Of course, you know that your balance and core strength are at the center of your swing – they are what keep that club swinging straight and with power. They are primarily responsible for your golf swing tempo

Tempo is a very important aspect of the golf swing, especially when you are swinging the longer clubs like your woods or driver. The timing in the golf swing has to be particularly precise or you will hit the ball badly – or not at all! This is one very good reason why you should work on your golf swing tempo to improve your overall game.

It is hard to describe tempo, but you certainly know it when you feel it. It is that combination of everything working at just the right time. Your hips turning, your shoulders turning, your head down, and your hands coming through to the target – all of it happening at just the right time. When it doesn’t happen in the right order, or the tempo is off, disaster can strike.

There are several hints and tips that can help you get your golf swing tempo into a nice rhythm. Some teachers will tell you to swing lower on the backswing, while others will tell you to power through the ball. The key is to find tips that work for you. When you are actually swinging that club, though, you don’t want to be thinking about anything other than making contact. Too much thought on one aspect of your swing can make the rest of your body forget about all the other things that it should be doing.
