3 Super Tips for Improving Golf Swing Plane

Posted by Rob Jeffries

263987786_d1e5e5828eDo you know you can adjust your golf swing plane to maximize its effectiveness? It’s true, you can. But to do that, you must know when and how. Here are some tips to help you improve your golfing shot:

1. Upright swings usually create more accuracy. Whether you want to hit the ball farther or more accurately, you can adjust your golf swing plane to do it. Typically you can make your shot more accurate by using upright swings that have a high-hand grip. That’s because the path of your swings will remain on the target line of the ball for a lengthier timeframe. The key to this type of shot is that the hands reach a high level at the peak of the backswing.

Tips to Eliminate an Unwanted Golf Swing Slice

Posted by Rob Jeffries

1532449999_39dcd0231bAs with every other sport, perfecting your golfing game involves improving those aspects that are less-than-perfect. For instance, by eliminating an unwanted golf swing slice you can lower your score and handicap. Here are some tips for ending your slicing:

1. Compensate for a downswing that is too wide. Try solving this problem by practicing without a club. After swinging your left arm backwards, your left arm should slant across your torso and cross at your right shoulder. Then during the downswing, your right arm should perform the converse action. Slant your right arm across your chest, and cross at your left shoulder. Keep practicing this drill until you master it.

3 Big Benefits of Golf Perfect Stretching

Posted by Rob Jeffries

2641826391_66eb5416cfHow short is the list of flawless golfers? It’s so short it includes zero players. Okay, perfection is technically impossible. However, in terms of having games that are nearly error-free, the names Jack Nicklaus, Sam Snead, Tiger Woods, and Gary Player usually pop up. Stretching exercises are one way to work your way towards a golf perfect status. Here are some huge benefits of such exercises:

1. Better golfing swing. As the famed NFL coach Vince Lombardi once observed, our practices should typify perfection. The swing is the essence of any golfing shot. Stretching exercises allows you to “slow down” your shot, and focus on the form. When practicing our golfing, sometimes we make the same mistakes a million and one times. However, by focusing on the mechanics of our swing we can pinpoint which aspects that we need to change.

4 Super Tips for Performing a Golf Downswing

Posted by Rob Jeffries

153299763_8ac0e6cccaCan you name a sport in which posture isn’t important? While the postures that matter vary from sport to sport, it’s crucial that you master those poses. This will improve your game and also your overall wellbeing. Here are some tips for performing an effective golf downswing.

1. Focus on transferring your weight. This is the essence of performing the swing so it’s crucial that you master it to maximize the effectiveness of your downward golfing stroke. Shifting your weight to the left side of your body will help to boost the speed of your club head, thus helping you hit the ball farther. This happens as you shift the swing’s curve forward.

The Basics of Golf Stretching

Posted by Rob Jeffries

3152920607_0a43dc6c15As you are preparing for a golf game it is important to stretch the muscles that you will be using to play the game with.  First jog or walk for 10 to 15 minutes to get started.  Then you should make sure your neck and shoulder muscles are warmed up.  You can do this by turning your head to the left side and holding it for a few seconds.  Then move it to the right and hold.  Move you head down so that your chin is almost on your chest.  Now roll your head a full turn to the left and a full turn to the right.

Next stretch your left arm over your right shoulder like you are trying to scratch the middle of your back.  Then repeat this with your right are over your left shoulder.  Now fold your fingers from both hands together behind you.  Stretch your arms out as far as you can.  This will help to stretch your shoulders and loosen your arms.
