The Best Backswing Golf Moves

Be sure not to lose your balance. Don’t just quickly jerk the club up in the air.  Slow and smooth is the best characteristic of a good backswing.  You will shift your weight onto your back leg and feel like a coil.  The downswing is just your body naturally unwinding and the head of your club swinging through the ball.  During the backswing keep your back leg bent.  Do not stand straight.

Obviously, the best backswing golf move is one that gets the ball to the intended target.  It must have accuracy as well as velocity.  Each time you swing the club you should try to repeat the same swing over and over.  This helps you develop a routine to your swing.  As you develop over time this will help you maintain consistency.

The backswing is started from a static position.  Many beginners find this to be awkward and swing wildly at first.  Some of the more experienced golfers will rock back and forth a little to help them break the static position.  It is important that the golfer initiate the backswing with a smooth and coordinated takeoff.  This will assure a smooth and coordinated follow through.

As with anything else, practice will make your backswing golf moves more effective and successful. One way to record your game scores and track your progress is to use the Golfintel Performance Software.  The software will help you track the specific holes of each game and let you focus on the areas you made mistakes in.  This is one of the best ways to improve your golf scores over time.  It is said that golf is 90% mental.  If you want to improve your performance there is no better way to do it.
